SelectSurvey Licensing Includes:
ClassApps maintains a simple and client advantageous licensing structure based on the idea that we never restrict the quantity of surveys, or respondents. All licenses of ClassApps.com come with the following:

• Unlimited Number of Surveys
• Unlimited Number of Respondents

Restrictions are based on whom is able to create, manage, maintain, and deploy surveys. ONLY the direct employees or contractors of the registered license owner are authorized to create, manage, maintain, and deploy surveys in the SelectSurvey system. We expect that you will have either or both a "development" or "test" installation, and also if possible have a "Hot Spare" that can be "turned on" in the event of a failure. We do however restrict the number of "production" or "live" installations.

SelectSurvey.NET Licensing Types

What are the different license types for SelectSurvey?

• Single Site / Single Server - 1 production URL + 1 development URL installation + 5 Licensed Users + Unlimited Respondents
• Enterprise - Multiple URL / Cluster installation + Unlimited Users + Unlimited Respondents
• OEM - Re-distributable / Sub-License

Single Site License: (1 URL + 5 Licensed Users)
How a company takes advantage of the strong base features and licensing structure for their company:

Because we have built in native support for Active Directory and system Groups, Templates, and Libraries a single implementation can service multiple departments within a company. The Marketing Department can begin to utilize the implementation for Product Research, Customer Perception, Market Share, and Customer profiling. Human Resources can use it for pre and post employment surveys as well as a host of other data gathering including Anonymous employee surveys. Customer Service can take advantage of it by running customer / vendor satisfaction surveys. Each department as illustrated above would have their own templates, libraries, and results, segmented from that of the other departments.

Enterprise License: (Multiple URL + Unlimited Users)
How a University or Non-Profit takes advantage of the licensing structure and advanced feature sets for their entire University:

Because Select Survey supports native Active Directory integration, advanced Stemming / Skip Logic / Conditional Logic, Advanced Data Piping, SPSS, and SPSS Condensed exports, and 508 Compliance it meets most departmental requirements. All the Departments Professors and their Grad Student assistants will have unlimited access for research, each segmented from each other along with Admissions and Administrative Departments needs. If you have departments that require more flexibility or are just looking for a platform to create some specific application or very specific and unique functionality we offer a source code version. We provide the entire Visual Studio project file along with base documentation and code that is historically "clean", "well structured" and "well commented". When you purchase the "Source Code" version of the product the same "license" wether Single Site or Enterprise license is bound to it.

OEM License: (Redistributable Sub-License)
How a Service Provider takes advantage of the licensing structure and features for their customers:

For companies that will be reselling the use of the survey application or reselling a component or application with the survey code embedded in it, they must purchase an OEM License. This license is the only license which allows reselling the application or application services or charging customers for survey create capability as a survey service provider. The OEM License purchase includes the "Source Code Add-On" and software. To obtain an estimate, please email sales@classapps.com to review the OEM license and program. The OEM license must be signed and fee paid in full for the license to be valid.

Examples.
The differentiator between enterprise and OEM is that with OEM you are reselling ability for a customer to have admin access to create and deploy surveys from the product, and you are selling that service.
If a company is using the survey product to do research and surveys for clients for a fee, this is ok as long as they don't charge clients to have access to the product to create their own surveys.

Requires an OEM License:
- Selling your product with the survey code embedded in it.
- Selling survey services where you charge the customer for ability to login and create their own surveys.
- Rebranding and selling the survey product.
- Rebranding and selling the survey product with your cusotmizations.

Does not require an OEM License:
- Allowing employees of your own company to create and deploy surveys to customers such as satisfaction surveys.
- Allowing employees of your company to create and deploy HR surveys, 360 surveys and surveys for internal company use.
- Allowing students of your school to create and deploy surveys for research or school assignments.
